The Internet VI

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday. Here's what the internet gave me on Sunday...

3 - DCist reports that a second baby elephant shrew was found at the National Zoo. I've been hearing National Zoo stories since I've moved down here. At times the zookeepers and staff seem to be grossly negligent if not straight-up inept. They kind of do this whole murdering animals thing. And that's in addition to the whole "run down facilities if you're not a panda" feature they've instituted at the Zoo. So it was no surprise when Zookeepers were "surprised" to find that there was a third elephant shrew in the pen. But, you'd think after being a little embarrassed that you didn't discover the baby elephant shrew until it was three-weeks old would have gotten you to, you know, keep your eyes open for this sort of thing. Nope! They were surprised after they found another baby elephant shrew in the pen.

On the bright side, at least the elephant shrews are fucking.

2 - A World War II map battle, comic book thing courtesy of Strange Maps.

1 - A Jack Chick/Necronomicon mash-up from Fred Van Lente and Steve Ellis. My friend Dale sent me the tract since we're working on our own little Jack Chick mash-up.

I wish the internet would love me back...

More internet love letters.

Ha! We were just at the zoo Sunday morning! Adam and I marveled at the shrews (we saw two adults) cause they do this funky wiggle with their noses!
